My Streamyx and Me.

So there I was in front of my pc just fresh from work, or rather, not so fresh from work. (It had been a long day and I was smelling like a wet pair of socks that had been stuffed down the pants of an... er, never mind.)

Well, anyway, there I was, in front of the pc and I was just about to connect to good ol' TmNet 1515 when I realized there were a few wires that were mysteriously dangling from the side of table. I peered over to investigate and discovered that it was a network cable wire. Connected to it was an ADSL modem in all its ADSL modemness glory! "Holy SHIIIT!", I says. "It's arrived!"

For about a month I waited and finally it came. Lovely, lovely 1mbs connection!

Now, about this point, most people would expect this sort of story to wind up with me complaining about some shitty-assed problems with my Streamyx connection and all. Sorry, aint gonna happen. Just because a measly, oh I dont know... 20% of the masses have shitty connection aint gonna sway the fact that I've got a great 1mbps connection and TmNet has done me good. I dont like to complain just for the sakes of complaining and the bottom line is, Streamyx has been good to me, and if it dont for you, thats just too bad. And about this point of my writing, I'd bet a few typical people'd that I know would be saying, "Ha, eksen... esok kalau kena kat kau, baru padan muka kau".

Until that day comes, I'll just grin and happily download my 5gig torrent file.

But I digress.

Of course, just for stories sakes, I DID have 1 problem with my connection being a tad slow and thanks to the help of the Streamyx dude (and Gojie), the bumped my speed up to the 1mbps speed from the WRONG speed which was 512.

2 months later, lightning struck and my network card and modem were fried. Which was a very very sad 14days for me. 2 weeks of non internet usage. Its mind boggling, I tells you. A loss of about RM39.76. Anyway, long story short, got a modem from Lelong.com.my.

The End.
